IMPROVING MENTAL HEALTH THROUGH VIRTUAL REALITY THERAPY
Who we are
About Us
We are Mental Health Professionals committed to improving mental health through virtual reality therapy.
We are one of the first mental health practitioners within Australia to bring Virtual Reality Exposure Therapy to support & improve the lives of individuals with mental health challenges.
The Process
What Is Virtual Reality Therapy?
Virtual Reality Therapy (VRT) is backed by twenty years of scientific studies that prove its efficacy. Together with specialised software, we supervise our client’s use of VR to ensure the process is controlled, safe & effective.
VR Therapy combines realistic computer-generated images in the presence of a skilled mental health professional. The virtual reality system enables a simulated environment of real-world situations to be brought inside the therapy room, within the comfort of your home or in an educational / hospital setting.
The VR process includes a headset, earphones and biofeedback sensors which immerse you into a virtual world you can interact with, helping you to confront your fears in a safe and controllable environment. You are in complete control while exploring the virtual environments.
While you are aware you are in a virtual reality environment your brain cannot tell the difference between VR and reality, so in effect each time you enter the VR world you are giving your brain the evidence that it needs to realise that this is safe and that you can do it. Effectively, teaching your brain to relax and feel safe in a situation that has previously caused you to be scared pr be anxious.

What We Treat
Virtual reality can be used for treatment of multiple conditions.
In all of our treatments and therapies, an experienced and qualified therapist will begin the headset set-up process, and then walk the client through the scenario, providing insight and therapy whilst the client immerses into the scenario.
